ATLANTA, Georgia - Kroger is limiting the amount of hand sanitizing products and cold and flu medications that customers can buy at one time as fears escalate about coronavirus.

Signs have gone up at local stores and on the Kroger website that customers can only buy five of each due to high demand and "to support all customers."

Hand sanitizer appears to have flown off the shelves across the city after Gov. Brain Kemp announced Monday night that two people in Fulton County are infected with the deadly virus.

A father and son are self-quarantined after the father returned from a trip to Italy exhibiting symptoms.

The CDC recommends sticking to common-sense cold prevention practices like cleaning hands often with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand sanitizer to prevent coronavirus.
