JACKSON, MS - A man who made internet threats in January to assassinate then President-Elect Barack Obama pleaded guilty Friday before US District Judge Henry Wingate.
Forty-two year-old Steven Joseph Christopher testified he had no intention of harming the president. He has been diagnosed with "schizo-affective disorder", that's a bipolar mental condition.
Christopher has also claimed he is the Messiah. He says he has made threats against others in the past, including former President George W. Bush, but was not arrested.
Christopher is originally from Illinois, but has lived in Brookhaven with his girlfriend. Sentencing is set for November 6th.
